Mittelstrimmig is located in the northern Hunsrück and together with the neighbouring villages of Altstrimmig, Liesenich and Forst forms the "Strimmiger Berg". The village's extensive forest area offers hikers countlessly varied and idyllic hiking experiences. A hike on the "Layensteig Strimmiger Berg" dream trail awaits holidaymakers here. Romantic paths and winding trails along natural stream valleys and magnificent views will make your hiking heart beat faster.
Three challenging climbing routes, which can also be bypassed on wide paths, lead to breathtaking vantage points. Not to forget the 350-year-old Schock Chapel, which can be marvelled at along the way. In Mittelstrimmig itself, the local history museum invites you to visit the mill, which is still in working order. The church of Mittelstrimmig was built between 1766 and 1769 according to plans by the architect Paul Stähling.
