Moselle cycle path

The German section of the Moselle cycle path begins in Perl, near the French border, and runs for about 275 kilometres along the striking course of the river to the German Corner in Koblenz. It is one of the most popular long-distance routes for cyclists and combines wine culture with a varied landscape and towns worth seeing.  On the cycle route, which is mostly asphalted and close to the banks, you can experience all the special features of the Moselle valley: rustic wineries, world-famous vineyards, ancient sites and romantic castles. Many places offer attractive places to stop for refreshments surrounded by half-timbered idyll or Art
Nouveau elegance. Due to its proximity to the river, the Moselle cycle path has a largely flat elevation profile. Downstream there are a total of 560 meters of descending and 430 meters of ascending altitude. It is therefore ideal for cycling tours with children and for the use of bicycle trailers and tandems.
From the gentle valleys of the Obermosel to the wooded vineyards of the Mittelmosel to the rocky Terassenmosel, the fascinating Moselle valley can be experienced in a relaxed way by bike!
