Experience 2000 years of history in the oldest city in Germany.
Moselle valley: theme trail
From the landmark of Germany's oldest city, the Porta Nigra, you walk through the pedestrian zone (Simeonstraße) to the medieval main market. From there you go through the Sternstraße to the cathedral and the Church of Our Lady and on to the Basilica, the throne room of Emperor Constantine. Right next door is the Electoral Palace and the beautiful palace garden. At the southern end of the palace gardens you can already see the mighty ruins of the Imperial Baths. After you have crossed the old city wall, walk through the underpass under the Weimarer Allee/Ostallee into the Hermessstrasse. This finally meets Olewiger Straße, which you follow to the left to the amphitheatre.
The Antiquity Card offers three different versions of admission to the Roman buildings in Trier as well as other discounts for everything to do with ancient Trier.
