The new Creation Trail starts at the Info Spa Centre on the Kueser Plateau and runs for the most part through the redesigned spa gardens with their numerous attractions.
The hiking portfolio of the Moselle town of Bernkastel-Kues has been enriched by a new attraction. The new circular hiking trail "Schöpfungsweg Mittelmosel" on the Kueser Plateau is a successful combination of varied views, attractive vistas such as the Skywalk or the "most beautiful wine view" and contemplative thoughts. The trail begins at the spa guest centre and then runs largely on flat terrain on the Kueser Plateau, primarily the spa gardens. There are a total of 12 steles on the circular trail. Information is provided about water, the clinics, buildings such as Landshut Castle, the Cusanus Foundation and the Mülheim Bridge. Wine views, life and work and highland cattle are also on the programme. On a 6.4 km circular route around the "Kueser Plateau", where four rehabilitation clinics are located, a total of 12 steles have been erected, the upper part of which contains rotating three-sided metal bodies with inscriptions.
The start is at the spa guest centre on the Kueser Plateau. Via the car park, you reach the first stele, which is dedicated to the theme of water, fittingly by a small lake. After a few minutes on flat paths, the second stele, which provides information about the healing possibilities of the four Median clinics, awaits. Before we reach the new attraction, the Skywalk, we pass two more stelae. One is dedicated to the Cusanusstift in Kues, the other sheds light on the history of Landshut Castle, which can be admired on the opposite bank of the Moselle, high above Bernkastel. The Skywalk is reached via an easily accessible path that winds its way through the forest. The path then runs between the forest and the vineyards, high above Kues. The next station is dedicated to life and work, while the sixth stele is identical to the excellent "wine view", high above the wine village of Lieser. After passing the seventh stele, dedicated to the Mülheim Bridge, the route continues along wide forest paths, past the "Insect Hotel" and "Ruheforst" stelae to the Cusanus-Hofgut estate. Shortly afterwards, the eleventh stele provides information about highland cattle and sustainable nutrition. Before the circular route comes to an end, the last stele with information on day-care centres awaits.
The hiking route does not require any special instructions.
