The racing bike route starts in Zell (Mosel) and leads over the Hunsrück to the Mosel to Traben-Trarbach and back to the starting point.
The challenging road bike route in Zellerland starts at the Moselle and leads up into the Hunsrück. The route runs hilly through numerous small Hunsrück villages until a long descent takes you to the Moselle town of Traben-Trarbach. On the Trarbach side, the Moselle cycle route leads back to Zell (Moselle).
Start: Markplatz Zell (Mosel) - Briedel- Briedeler Heck - Raversbeuren - Lötzbeuren - Irmenach - Beuren - Kleinich - Longkamp - Kautenbach - Trarbach - Enkirch - Burg - Reil - Pünderich - Briedel - Zell (Mosel)
Please use the cycle path on the Moselle. Observe the traffic rules, watch out for other road users and cycle at an appropriate speed, especially on the descents. Show consideration for other cyclists and pedestrians.
A visit to the Moselle town of Traben-Trarbach is well worthwhile.
Cross over the B53 to the opposite side of the Moselle (via the Bullay double-decker bridge or the Zell-Kaimt motorway bridge). Then straight ahead to the market square (town hall, Balduinstr. 44, 56856 Zell (Mosel)).
Free parking in the streets "Brandenburg" and "Am Bahnhof"
Take the train to Bullay and continue with lines 720, 721 or 750 to Zell (Mosel), Lindenplatz.
