Catholic Church "Peter and Paul"
The present church in Peterswald was built in the years 1765/66. The church, located in the middle of the village, is a hall church with a separated choir. The former west gable received its current façade in 1923 through a tower construction. Notable features of the bell tower are the sound openings on all sides, a curved peak, and a cross.
The wall paintings of the very old altar depict the arrest of Jesus and how he taught the five disciples. The motif of the altar, the figures of Mary and John under the Jesus hanging on the cross, can also be found, slightly altered, in the middle of the mensa. In honor of the apostles Peter and Paul, the parish church still has an old bronze bell from the year 1463.
Service: Sundays alternating with Löffelscheid.
