Christmas market in Alf on the Moselle: feasting, shopping, shopping!
After last year's overwhelming success, the Christmas market in Alf will take place every weekend this Advent, both on Saturdays and Sundays. True to the motto “Feast, store, shop!”, visitors can expect a market designed with heart and soul on the market square near the traffic circle. A varied, weekly changing culinary offer invites you to feast. Guests can look forward to crêpes, venison sausage, potato pancakes and other delicacies, accompanied by drinks such as mulled wine, sparkling wine and Glühviez. Numerous stalls selling hand-knitted hats, scarves and gloves, handmade decorative items and individual Christmas gifts, jewelry, honey and gift ideas for animal lovers will tempt you to browse and store. Three lovingly decorated nativity scenes emphasize the deeper meaning of Christmas. The opening hours are from 15:00 to 21:00 on Saturdays and from 12:00 to 18:00 on Sundays. The musical framework is provided by various live performances, including acoustic rock by Bernd Müller and the Baachspoutzer Musikanten from Alf. A highlight is the visit of St. Nicholas on Sunday, December 8th, who will give all the children a little treat after the performance by the Alf-Sankt Aldegund elementary school at 3:00 pm.
