Pentecost Sunday, June 08, 2025, 10:00-17:00
Summer is approaching and with it the nationally popular Whitsun wine hike, which leads along one of the most beautiful circular hiking trails near Zell an der Mosel, along the narrowest Mosel loop.
A very special tour takes you through sunny vineyard slopes and along shady forest paths. You will reach many beautiful destinations and experience the fascinating Moselle wine culture landscape up close, as well as the impressive railroad architecture with the longest hillside viaduct in Germany or the Bullayer double-decker bridge. The panoramic view from Marienburg Castle and the Prinzenkopf viewing tower offers a very special nature experience on this circular route, as the Moselle can be seen from three different angles from here. A phenomenon that is unique to Europe's most beautiful river course.
Along the well-signposted and approx. 10 km long route, winegrowers and associations from the Moselle communities of Alf, Briedel, Pünderich, Reil and Zell (Moselle) spoil wine and hiking fans with Moselle dishes and delicious wines at their refreshment stops. No registration is required for this enjoyable hiking experience.
