The cosmopolitan musician Jacky Bastek is a guest at "Meet me in the Garden," the multi-week art project in the late medieval half-timbered house "Spay25" in Zell/Merl on the Moselle.
In addition to a visit to the art exhibition, visitors can enjoy a concert in the historic vaulted cellar of the manor house.
Jacky Bastek is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and composer from Eppstein in the Taunus region. At the age of just 17, the musician made a name for herself in the international guitar scene. Already then, her music was characterized by virtuosity, deep emotionality, and an ongoing engagement with philosophical discourses. After 10 years of international concert experience, a music study at the Hochschule für Musik (Cologne), and musical research trips to Asia and the USA, her music evolves into a larger organism that explores the complexity, beauty, and depth of human existence. While her broad love for music transcends genre boundaries of jazz, folk, pop, and classical, her lyrics address existential themes as well as narratives from interpersonal encounters.
